What is this Job About?

As Senior Content Editor II at Labile, you will play an important role in shaping the quality, clarity, structure, and consistency of editorial output across one of our media brands. You will work closely with writers, reporters, and the wider editorial team to strengthen story development, refine drafts, and ensure that every story meets the established standard before publication.

This role is for someone who understands that editing is far more than correcting grammar or polishing sentences. Strong editing requires judgment, structure, clarity of thought, attention to detail, and the ability to help a story become sharper, clearer, more engaging, and more useful to its audience.

You will edit story packages across a range of content formats, and you will be expected to improve clarity, tighten structure, strengthen angles, spot weaknesses, catch inconsistencies, support factual accuracy, and help maintain a consistent editorial standard across the newsroom. To put it simply, your role is to help ensure that stories are not only well-written, but also well-structured for the format they are intended for.

This role is ideal for an editor who is sharp, thoughtful, organized, and deeply committed to strong storytelling. You should enjoy helping good ideas become stronger, spotting what is missing in a draft, and working with writers to bring editorial work up to a consistently high standard.
